Employee recognition is hugely important to us; we want our staff to know how much we appreciate them. We celebrate everyone’s successes and not just our top performers. Both Operations and Shared Services teams receive rewards and incentives to make sure we all enjoy the journey!
DIRECTOR'S LUNCH
Every quarter, our star employees are taken out to enjoy a delicious lunch at one of Hampshire’s top eateries. From Michelin star restaurants to 5-star hotels, previous venues include: The Ivy in Chichester, Lime Wood Hotel in Lyndhurst, Chewton Glen in the New Forest, Blue Jasmine in Southampton and 36 On the Quay in Emsworth.
STR GROUP EVENTS
It’s important to celebrate our successes as a group, which is why our company-wide events are open to all – sometimes also to our families!
Last year, we enjoyed cocktails at the incredible Alchemist in Gunwharf for our summer social. We partied well into the night at the Ageas Bowl for our Christmas bash and celebrated the company’s huge success at our Las Vegas themed annual conference in the gorgeous Gatsby ballroom at Old Thorns hotel in Liphook.
We’ve also enjoyed a get-together with our families at Marwell Zoo – a thank you to our staff and their families for their support and steadfastness during the pandemic.
CONTINENTAL CLUB
We have 4 themed buffets annually and over the last year we made pancakes on Shrove Tuesday, enjoyed French food on Bastille Day, celebrated the Coronation with a cream tea, and enjoyed some sweet treats on Valentine’s Day!
We also hire a specialist food van at the end of each quarter. Global Gastronomy comes to STR in the form of Suwannaphum Thai Cuisine, Browns Town Jamdown for a taste of Jamaica, Bring and Braai Aussie-style BBQ, and Simply Hog Roast for a bite of British!
FUN IN THE OFFICE
We work hard every day, so it’s important to take a little time out now and again to make sure you’re the best version of you!
Join us for Easter Egg hunts, a Gingerbread House competition at Christmas, and pumpkin carving at Halloween. Alternatively, you might want to demonstrate your prowess at the pool table during our World Cup Pool Tournament, or join your team at an inter-brand Pub-style quiz. Small cash prizes, but most importantly, bragging rights, are up for grabs!
TRIPS AWAY
For our top performers, we introduced the High Achievers Club, which rewards our high-flying employees with an international trip! You could make it to Miami, go dancing in Dubai or live it up in Las Vegas! The opportunity is open to everyone – whether or not you’re on that flight is up to you!
