As if training to compete in the T38 100m Sprint and F38 Long Jump events at several competitions this summer wasn’t enough, Livvy Breen has also embarked on presenting her first Podcast series!
Entertaining and insightful
Launched on the 24th June on BBC Radio Wales and BBC Sounds, ‘Olivia Breen’s Paris Diaries’ focuses on what it takes to be an elite athlete preparing for an exciting season of sport. The series will comprise six fascinating 30-minute episodes, with some deep insights from both Livvy and her guests.
Three episodes have currently aired, so far featuring interviews with her fellow para-athlete stars: discus and shotput World Champion Aled Sion Davies, three-time World T20 Shotput Champion Sabrina Fortune, shot putter and bobsleigh star, Adele Nicoll, hockey player/athlete/para-canoeist Laura Sugar, visually-impaired sprinter and British record holder James Ledger, and former rugby player turned para-discus thrower Harrison Walsh.
Catch up with all episodes!
The podcast provides an intriguing insight to the mental and physical challenges these incredible athletes have experienced both professionally and personally, highlighting the highs and lows, the pressure and the elation that come with competing at the highest echelons of para athletics.
Livvy’s naturally warm, friendly and compassionate nature comes across in her interview style and means she brings out the best in her guests. We highly recommend you take a listen here – let us know what you think!
