Experience: Emma Rees has built her career in legal and compliance within the recruitment sector, beginning at another technical recruitment agency in 2012 before progressing into senior leadership roles at STR. Since joining as Compliance Manager, she has advanced to Group Legal & Compliance Director, bringing deep expertise in recruitment legislation, risk and governance. Her experience has been particularly critical as the business has expanded internationally, ensuring robust compliance frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.
Leadership: Emma has demonstrated strong leadership by building the Legal & Compliance function from the ground up into a skilled team, embedding it as a core component of STR’s operations. As a Board member, she contributes to strategic direction and organisational governance, with a focus on enabling growth through effective risk management. Her leadership combines technical expertise with strategic influence, supporting sustainable expansion while safeguarding business integrity.
